Cancelling Payment Protection Insurance
Are you looking to cancel your PPI policy? If so, then it is a simple process of contacting your lender and ask them to cancel the policy. If you have taken out the policy within the last 30 days, you will usually be entitled to a full refund of the whole cost of the policy. However, if you have taken out the policy more than 30 days ago, you still have the right to cancel the policy, but the refund due will not necessarily be a pro rate refund.
If your lender refuses to cancel the policy, contact us and we will provide you with guidance on how to go about cancelling the policy.
If you feel you were mis-sold the policy, then you have a right to complain about the way the policy was sold to you. A successful complaint will usually result in a full refund of premiums, plus interest, rather than a partial refund that is issued if a policy is cancelled after the 30 day cooling off period.
