Frequently Asked Questions

How do I claim back PPI on my loan or credit card?

The first step is to determine whether you have taken out payment protection insurance. Check your loan agreement or  credit card statement and see whether PPI has been added to the credit agreement or whether you are paying for it on a monthly basis. If so, complete our claim form and we will be in touch with you to discuss your claim.

How long does it take to claim back PPI?

The length of time taken to recover your premiums can vary; cases can be settled in as little as a couple of weeks, but be prepared to wait several months for some of the more difficult cases so you won’t be disappointed.

How do I know if I have been mis sold PPI?

If the lender didn’t fully explain the cost of the policy to you, if you were not in full time employment at the time or if you were not made aware that the policy was optional, it is likely that the policy was mis sold to you. There are many reasons why the policy may not have been appropriate and we can identify these reasons quite easily to ensure we have a strong case against the lender.

Do you charge upfront fees for this service?

Absolutely not. You do not have to pay anything upfront to use our service and there are no hidden charges or administration fees. Be cautious about paying any company an upfront fee to handle your PPI claim.

How far back can I claim?

Generally speaking, we take on claims where the policy was sold within the last six years, although it is sometimes possible to go back further than this, especially where you still have the paperwork or the policy is still running. There is no fixed date – we can advise you if you have a valid claim once you have completed our claim form.

Can I still claim if the policy is no longer running?

Absolutely. Many people have chosen to cancel their policy or repay their loan early. In such instances, it is still possible to reclaim PPI premiums you have paid in.

How do I cancel my payment protection insurance policy?

It should be possible to contact your lender directly. A successful PPI claim will usually result in your policy being cancelled and therefore some people prefer to utilise our claims service to get their policy cancelled.

What is the average refund and how much can I claim back?

The average compensation award is in excess of £2,000 for anyone who has taken out PPI on a loan. If you have more than one policy, your claim may well exceed this amount.
